Riddim ignites Panama City Beach
The latest staging of Riddim proved why the brand has become one of the most anticipated Jamaican entertainment events in Panama City Beach, Florida, as scores of patrons packed Club Vibez on June 28 for a night of music, fashion and high-energy performances.
Long lines formed by patrons around the building showed that the night was going to be classic. Partygoers travelled from across Florida for the event, which featured musical selections from Copper Ash and DJ Nicco, while Jamaican entertainer Rebel delivered one of the night’s biggest highlights. Known primarily as a dancer, Rebel thrilled the audience by taking the microphone, engaging patrons and bringing dancers on stage in a lively performance that kept the packed venue buzzing.
Promoter Fabian Howell, better known as Mijix, described the staging as “nothing less than sensational”, praising the patrons, the DJs and the venue for creating what he believes was the biggest Riddim event to date.
“All the ladies were properly attired in marvellous outfits to suit their unique personalities, and they had a blast. The DJs delivered top-tier Jamaican music from different timelines, and the people really, really enjoyed themselves,” Howell said.
He noted that Riddim has evolved beyond a party series into a lifestyle brand that also includes a clothing line and activewear collection, with plans to continue expanding across the United States while maintaining its presence in Jamaica.
Having previously staged shows in Panama City featuring Jamaican stars including Squash, Alkaline and Jada Kingdom, Howell said the next Riddim event will return to Kingston in October. He also revealed plans are afoot to launch charitable initiatives.
“We’re going to work through the Riddim Foundation and do what we can to help the less fortunate, especially homeless people. That’s something we want to become a part of the Riddim brand as we continue to grow,” Howell said.
With a packed venue, energetic performances and ambitious plans both on and off the stage, Riddim continues to cement its reputation as a growing Jamaican entertainment brand with international appeal.
