Over the past few years, Lybran, also known as Rum Boss, has emerged as one of the most colourful stage performers in dancehall music.

He recently created quite a stir in Antigua when popular reggae singer Gramps Morgan invited him on stage to do an impromptu performance of his song titled Rum Talk Part 3, at the One Nation Music Festival in Antigua.

"I was surprised when Gramps called and told me that he wanted me to perform with him at the One Nation Music Festival. I recorded a song with him titled Rumnesia, which was released on his 2021 Grammy-nominated album. However, we've never performed together before, and knowing that this was a big opportunity for me, I agreed immediately. So, I prepared myself to deliver my best, and that's what I did," said the St Thomas-born deejay.

The hard-working entertainer, who currently resides in Antigua, said the performance stunned a lot of people on the island who didn't know he was an entertainer.

"I've been living in Antigua and running a Jamaican restaurant called Reggae the Village for the past five years, but a lot of people don't know that I am an artiste, because I don't do a lot of shows here. When I came off stage, several people came to me to expressed their appreciation for my performance. Some of them also told me that they were surprised when they saw me on stage with Gramps," said Lybran.

He also expressed his gratitude to Gramps Morgan for inviting him to perform with him.

"I am very grateful to Gramps for this opportunity; it's a real career boost for me, especially over here. Since I performed with him at the One Nation Festival, I've been getting invitations from promoters to perform at events here, and on other islands and in the US," he said.
