"Age is just a number," dancer Dyema Attitude told THE STAR. The 40-year-old Dutty Whine creator has been catching heat for being in a relationship with 22-year-old Leggo Di Bird sensation, Monsta Boss.

"It's just true me older why people a talk, but dem nuh understand seh Monsta is 22, not 19," she said, clarifying the age statement made by deejay Laa Lee Ranks recently.

The couple, together for eight months, made it 'Instagram official' on Valentine's Day. Dyema said it was him who made the first move, but she was hesitant because she doesn't date dancers. The father of three was not discouraged and kept pursuing her, which led to them getting to know each other, going out, and eventually growing attached. Above all, Dyema believes it's the fact that they share the same birthday that cements their attraction. Plus, "Monsta have bigger reasoning ability than nuff man."

Dyema shared she always dates younger men, adding that she was 15 years older than ex-boyfriend. She linked her preference to putting her childhood aside to help her single mother.

"Most of my life mi spend selling ah market so mi never have time fi play like regular kids," she said. "Mi feel like mi nuh live out mi childhood so mi act younger than mi age. Mi is a woman weh nuh watch gun show; mi just watch cartoon and high school show. Mi will go inna pickney slide and mi love pickney tings."

Other people have suggested that the younger dancer is only using Dyema for clout. In a recent Live video, she directed her attention to Tony Matterhorn.

"How yuh fi seh Monsta go' use mi when Monsta have a platform and me have one? Mi only have a bigger platform cause mi a legend but Monsta still have a platform, him followers and a hit dance. A nuh mi a buss him, him buss already."

They are moving ahead as dancehall's new dancing couple, a title which has not always fared well in the past. However, Dyema is not necessarily thinking marriage and baby carriage.

"Even if you a husband and wife, nuff times dem separate, divorce and gone. Mi older than Monsta and mi a go eventually get older than him. Mi nah expect seh him a go stay forever and ever amen. Yuh haffi just put that in your head and know seh we deh yah now and if we last a good three years and it mash up, at least we try last as long as it can and live the best way we can."
